Because Real Bridesmaids Aren't Always Size Two Models.
Brides, for as long as we can remember, have been choosing their best friends to not only stand beside them during the most important day of their lives, their wedding, but also lean on them for support and encouragement throughout the entire engagement process.
These invaluable, loved women sacrafice their time to help out only to be traditionally forced to wear the same unflattering dress as all of the other bridesmaids.
Now, the internet provides a rare opportunity for online bridesmaid dress shopping. Unfairly they must imagine what they will look like in the dress a size 2 model displays. Our aim at RealBridesmaid.com is to encourage sharing and viewing of photos of real live women in real bridesmaids dresses.
When searching for bridesmaid dresses the likelihood that the store will have the size you're intersted is slim to none. If you're lucky enough that they do then that's awesome, but for the rest of you you'll need to guess what your size is. One common mistake when it comes to bridesmaid dress shopping is that the bride or shop will ask you for your measurements. Then they come back to you and tell you that you're between size X and size Y. If that's the case the safest bet is to choose the size that you normally wear and then have the dress altered accordingly once you get it shipped in. So, for example, if you usually wear a size 10 and the dress shop says you're between a 10 and a 12... go with the 10.
Taking photos from a bottom-up angle puts an extra 20 lbs on the >> person. It is far more flattering if the photographer can stand on a chair >> for the photo. It hides many flaws (thick waists especially). Whenever I am >> photographed, I make sure the photographer is *not* crouching.
We'll be putting more advice here later...
